Drew Balcerzak

Associate

Andrew “Drew” Balcerzak Is an associate with Murphy & Grantland. His practice focuses on general litigation defense, insurance defense, premises liability, and trucking & automobile defense. Prior to becoming an associate, Drew worked as a Murphy & Grantland summer law clerk.

Drew attended Presbyterian College, where he majored in political science and minored in pre-law. In college, Drew was a member of the Zeta Theta chapter of Sigma Nu where he served as Recorder and Alumni Chair. He spent the spring semester of his junior year in Bamberg, Germany where he studied international politics and economics. Drew graduated Magna Cum Laude in December 2019.

He received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2023. During Law School, Drew was a member of the Real Property Trust and Estate Journal and was a student member of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court. Drew participated in the Criminal Law Clinic, where he was able to represent a criminal defendant in Columbia Municipal Court under the supervision of his professor. Drew was on the Dean’s List for multiple semesters and received the CALI award for Sports Law.

In his free time, Drew enjoys duck hunting, playing pickleball, and going on adventures with his Dachshund, Winston.
