W. Tradd Stover

Associate

Tradd Stover is an Associate with Murphy & Grantland. His practice is focused on insurance coverage matters.
A Sumter, South Carolina native, Tradd earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina where he majored in English and graduated Magna Cum Laude. In college, he received the N.G. Belser Scholarship Award for academic achievement from the Department of English.

Tradd then earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif, having achieved a class rank within the top 10% of his class. During law school, Tradd was a member of the school’s Moot Court Bar, competing in several local and national competitions. As part of his participation in Moot Court, Tradd was inducted into the National Order of Barristers and awarded “best brief” in connection with the law school’s KBM Moot Court Competition. Tradd received a CALI Award for earning the highest grade in his Conflict of Laws course. He also earned the CALI Award in Disability Law for his paper discussing application of the Americans with Disabilities Act to public school teachers. Tradd served on staff for the ABA Real Property, Trust, & Estate Law Journal and participated in the school’s Peer Mentor program.

Outside of work, Tradd enjoys spending time with family and friends, devotedly supporting the Gamecocks, Atlanta Braves, and Carolina Panthers, and playing pickleball. Tradd is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Sumter, South Carolina.
